Have been going here for a number of years, by far the best optician I've had the pleasure of going to. Always pleasant, helpful and considerate - both the optician (Mr Bennett) and the staff out front. Will certainly be visiting here for years to come!

I recently needed an eye check up and was recommended to a local optician AK Bennett. The whole experience was very professional and thoroughly carried out. The optician was very polite, friendly and explained the procedures very explicitly. The standard of the check up was very impressive with the latest technology and accuracy. Refreshing to get caring treatment like this at these times. Thank you !

I have seen Ken for the last few years and he is extremely professional and helpful. I have to have regular eye check-ups due to a hereditary problem and feel in very safe hands with the team at A K Bennett. I can hand on heart say they are not an opticians that are there to sell you glasses, their primary concern is to look after the health of your eyes. I have only just started wearing glasses in the last couple of months. When choosing glasses that suited me, the ladies were extremely helpful - and as an aside, the frames they said suited me the best, were actually the cheapest! This year I also took my son to see Sarah, their paediatric optician. My son had seen another optician at another shop (which I won't name), only a year before, who had totally missed the significant problems he has with his eyesight. We were convinced he had learning difficulties, but it transpires that all his problems with reading were due to poor eyesight. How the opticians missed this last year is worrying, Sarah at A K Bennett was so thorough and fantastic with both my children. My son was extremely upset about wearing glasses and again the team went above and beyond to make him feel special and choose glasses he felt comfortable wearing. I cannot recommend the entire team at A K Bennett's enough.

I have been using A K Bennetts for years and always find them professional and very helpful. The aftercare is very good. I would highly recommend them for contact lenses and glasses.
