I have been using AVK I-Care since I moved to the area in 2015. I have moved overseas and come back twice since then and continue to use them. This is because this small business genuinely cares about customer service. The owner has personally delivered lenses to my work when I lost a lens and and couldnt drive to collect new ones. (Because I would struggle to drive without them). I mention this because this is the level of service I have had and continue to get from AVK. I cant recommend them enough.

Ignore whoever that person was who left the last terrible and totally unfair review!!! Im thinking he visited a different opticians because personally I've been going here since moving to the area over 10 years ago. My kids now also go here and my hubby shops here for sunglasses year on year. Top notch service from start to finish!!! Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 100%.

I thoroughly recommend AVK i-Care in Ickenham. I attended yesterday for an eye examination and was very impressed by the service I received. The optician was extremely thorough and explained each step of the procedure very clearly. I highly recommend this optician.

Shameful and disappointing experience from an unapproachable and unfair owner. For the avoidance of doubt I do not write reviews very often but was compelled to write this one as their approach to dealing with my issues and their service customer delivery was horrendous! Any failure of their products is dealt with in either two ways 1) Blame the customer for misuse of their glasses in the most patronizing way. 2) Suggest that a eye test is carried out and a new pair of glasses purchased which equates to spending more money in their shop.!! They caught me with these tactics on two separate occasions the first time they said that I would need to contribute to the cost of new frames although it was their frames that had failed. Wow how good of them to reuse the old lenses in new frames I had been forced into paying for. However I had no choice as the owner tells you he is an expert with over 30 years experience but does it in a condescending and smug way so you really have no where to go on the matter and unfortunately its his way or the highway I am afraid. The frames failed again so not hoping for much I returned to the shop with them. Yes you have guessed correctly the professor of glasses once again uses his vast knowledge to arrive unsurprisingly at the conclusion that they had been misused and no warranty is in implied or expressed. I wish I could say that I was a stunt man or used them in some way that would have broken them but sadly they were used for reading documents:) I have now decided I am wasting my time trying to reach any fair or amicable solution with AVK I-care I can honestly say the worst optician I have ever had the misfortune of using.
