Albany Park Nursing Home

My brother has been a resident since 2012 and I highly recommend Albany Park Nursing Home. The amazingly devoted care staff gave up their own home lives during the height of the pandemic and lived-in to keep the residents extra safe. The residents are kept happy and occupied, the food is freshly cooked every day on the premises and tea and biscuits is served at regular intervals throughout the day.

I have emailed the manager four times regarding my mum's belongings and money she had left in their the safe before returning home. Jade the manager has as not responded once. The communication is extremely poor. Everytime I visited my mum, I felt a high level of stress as soon as I entered the building. It isn't the most welcoming or friendly environment. Some if the care workers where good, one was awful with my mum which I raised. There needs to be more training on communication and person centred care from the top down.

Albany Park is a very welcoming place. The staff are very conscientious and work very hard. The residents are very well cared for. The rooms and communal areas are spacious and clean. Well run home. Good value if self paying. I would recommend this home to anyone

Looked nice place and seemed positive the care seemed good. During covid. But staff need to learn empathy and how to approach and talk to relatives in the event of sad news. It was disgraceful..
