Friendly Families Nursery

Our son absolutely loves it here and he's learnt so much since he started. There are several great things about this nursery: - The setting is lovely and away from any main roads (unlike all most all the other nurseries in the area). - Unlike other nurseries where you have to drop your child at the door and have no idea what's going on, parents are welcome at the nursery any time. - The staff are absolutely fantastic and put so much effort into coming up with exciting activities for the children. - Parent communication is excellent. - You have the opportunity to volunteer at the nursery if you want to (for which you get a fee discount). - Option of short or long (8-6) days. - When there is space, the nursery are very flexible and agree to book you in for extra days or extend hours on an ad hoc basis. I've not heard of any other nursery being willing to do this.

We are so happy with Friendly Families Nursery for our little boy. We love the option to do long or short days, the caring staff and lovely setting. We also really appreciate the truly open door policy where you feel really welcome as parents to pop in (eg I brought a birthday cake in at lunch and some party games when our boy turned 3). Its a very special place and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend it !

Lovely nursery with an amazing outdoor space. Staff always thought of new and interesting activities to enhance learning. Also had a lovely community feel that my son benefited from.

There are several great aspects about the nursery and not often do you find all these attributes in one single place: a caring, dynamic and friendly staff, a large outdoors play area and garden where the children are encouraged to explore the natural surroundings, loads of fun and creative activities, new and exciting resources, a parent-led system where parents are welcome to volunteer and take part in the running of the nursery, and affordable childcare for the community. My son really loves the staff. Hes very happy with the nursery and settled in no time. It has been really positive for his development, particularly during the pandemic. I cannot recommend this enough to new parents who are looking for a truly friendly, fostering, and fun setting for their children.
