Regal Nails

My new favourite nail salon. Ive just moved to the area and tried a couple of others but this one is my favourite by far. Its tucked away and easy to miss but Im glad I found it. The staff are super warm and friendly, as well as very talented! Also really reasonably priced, and they do a loyalty scheme. My nails are always perfect after leaving here Definitely my new go to! Grossly unprofessional/distasteful My girlfriend wanted me to try something new, paid for a 50 voucher here which was supposed to valid for 6 months. This 50 voucher was purchased in November (2022). For the sake of not letting the redemption time fully elapse, I booked an appointment and arrived as you would expect. I spoke to a member of staff and passed on the voucher, she proceeded to look at it as if she did not recognise it and from then I knew that my experience was not going to be smooth sailing. The voucher itself did not have any date, referring to when it was sold. My girlfriend did not think much of it at the time but it clearly gave the staff here leverage to say that the voucher came from an old book which meant it was invalid. This was not the truth, and at this point I was getting quietly annoyed. I was first told that the voucher was invalid. I proceeded to place my girlfriend on the phone and then they backtracked and agreed. I was then told it was worth 35, I explained that my girlfriend paid 50, they said "no she did not". After this I was cheekily asked to show a picture of my girlfriend, despite just speaking to her over the phone - very tone death. They clearly viewed me as the type to lie over 15, which was disappointing within itself. My girlfriend encouraged me to agree to the 35 mani-pedi service which was performed contemptuously. The service was akin to day-light robbery. My problem is, you sell vouchers, you dont fill them in with the important details, you dont keep a record in your books, and then you have the audacity to tell a customer that they are not being honest. The other side is, I may not be a typical profile of customer but that should be a catalyst towards being more welcoming. I definitely will never come here again. Zero stars. Really bad experience here. They were rushing and made my cuticles bleed. They werent able to do what I asked for and asked me to change what I wanted three times. They also made fun of clients and were just incredibly rude. In the end, I had to pay for a design I didnt want. My nails are chunky and thick and the gel has already chipped. I do not recommend! There are other much nicer places in Muswell Hill!
