I was experiencing increasing pain in my right hip and knee to the point where walking more that 50 yards, became increasingly difficult. I rang the surgery at 11:00am on Thursday 13-4-23 to speak to a doctor. I expected a long wait in a telephone queue, but was surprised to get through after only a few minutes. I spoke to a charming and very helpful receptionist. After a quick explanation of my symptoms, she offered me a face-to-face consultation with Dr. Amasant DeBono that morning. People often complain of the difficulty getting through to a GP but being offered an appointment within 20 minutes of contacting the surgery is worthy of comment. I had never seen Dr. Amasanti DeBono before and was please to see that she took the time to check my medical history and enquire after my problem with carcinoma of the prostate and ensured that I had been followed up correctly, before addressing the reason for my consultation. She listened to symptoms of arthritic pains in my hip and knee, which were causing some difficulties walking. She checked the previous x-ray investigation and after an examination to confirm the pain was originating from the hip and knee, she arranged for repeat x-rays, which I had done that afternoon at the walk-in-x-ray dept. at the hospital. At 6:30 that evening I was very surprised to receive a text from Dr. Amasanti DeBono, who was up-to-the-minute with reading her correspondence and had seen my x-ray results and contacted me to enquire as to how I wanted to proceed. What a result! From first contact with the surgery at 11:00am and seeing my GP, hospital and being contacted with the results by Dr. Amasanti DeBono all within 7 hours. Fantastic! Thank you so much Dr. Amasanti DeBono and the team at Millway Surgery.

I'm registered here but haven't been able to get an appointment at all in any way for 3 years. Unsure why they even exist really.
