I chose L.A.R.K on the basis that they were close to where I am situated as I generally prefer to do things face to face, and that the quote offered was very good value. I instructed Joanne and her team for the sale and purchase of my property. Joanne has been nothing short of exceptional and truly has been on my side. Her practical, common sense approach has been refreshing.The timescales she has worked to have been reasonable (Oct 22-March 23). On communication I am wise enough to know that its unreasonable to expect a direct line, but all my queries were dealt with efficiently via telephone and email. Whenever I did need a callback, Joanne always go back to me within 24hrs. She has dealt with everyone in the chain with utmost professionalism. I would not hesitate in recommending L.A.R.K Solicitors.

They lost our passports!!! Not sure how that's even possible (especially after I expressed my concerns but Joanne assured me that they would be sent back securely) but they did... and then tried to blame the post office for not giving them a receipt rather than taking responsibility for their very poor handling of such important documents. They paid for us to apply for a replacement passport and they paid for the flights that we had to cancel (we were going to a friend's wedding in Portugal that we missed because the passports took so long to come back). Joanne became defensive in her emails to us near the end of the conveyancing transaction and no compensation for any kind for the upset and stress caused, not even a discount off her fees for our double conveyancing transaction, which we were extremely disappointed by. Service was equally poor overall to be honest- we had to complain more than once due to Joanne being away or difficult to get hold of and her assistants not following up on things properly. We found that we weren't properly advised as the transaction proceeded step by step and thought this was something that could definitely be improved on - for example, a clear overview of the whole process and explaining things clearly at the very start of the transaction would have helped. Very disappointing as she came recommended by my partner as he'd used her about 4 years ago and was impressed, but things were very different this time and we were both disappointed overall. We felt it was important to give an honest review of our experiences for others to hear.
