The highlight are the Sri Lankan mutton rolls, it's worth a visit just for them

Highly recommend this restaurant, a very unique and different twist and interesting menu and restaurant.
I originally placed the order through deliveroo and what a disaster deliveroo were , the deliveroo driver Max was only a mile from my house when he text on live chat that its too far away and he isnt coming. My husband and I were hungry and by then had waited an hour for the food. I couldnt believe what the driver was just texting. It would have taken him another 10 mins only and I told him that. The driver just didnt care.
He claimed its not his fault and he isnt coming. Maybe it was Deliveroos fault for sending that driver to that job but he quickly tried to blame others instead of deliveroo. I have left a bad review for deliveroo and was utterly appalled and shocked to see they have only 1 star on Trustpilot.
Shocking for such a big organisation !!!
Thankfully the owner of this restaurant (Asad) who clearly cares about his customers and those trying to eat from his establishment, phoned me personally, and explained how the deliveroo service works between the restaurant and deliveroo. He then offered me 51.85 worth of food on him. Straight away I felt terrible for him to do that . He apologised for what I had gone through with my order and was very kind and caring.
He explained the situation and how he wants to resolve what has happened. I offered to pay half but he insisted I have the meal tonight on him if I just go and collect it. I felt really bad but did leave 10 tip for the restaurant when I collected the order.
I cant even begin to think how hard it is for restaurant owners in this current climate of a recession and Asads generosity and kindness wont be forgotten.
Its not fair on the restaurant to foot this bill when deliveroo were clearly at fault and I hope the restaurant gets their money back off deliveroo. I am told the deliveroo driver went off with the food and didnt even return the food back to the restaurant.
I will most definitely next time be ordering directly with this restaurant instead of all the hassle of deliveroo and its probably much cheaper to do that way too.
Asad was on his day off and he made the effort to call a customer and deal with a problem there and then. Talk about loyalty to your own business !!!
Not many restaurant owners would do that , some wouldnt even bother to call and some would leave the call for the next day. I really appreciated what this owner did and its good customer care.
Not to mention he is a grammar school educated man and speaks very well and classy !
This restaurant also does half price on Mondays and I shall most certainly be returning to take advantage of that.
Thank you Asad for using your initiative and looking after me tonight its more than what deliveroo bothered to do !
