I was thrilled when my daughter bought me a Red Cuckoo bag as a present earlier this year, after putting it away over summer, I am horrified to find cracks that have appeared on thew straps, and the colour worn off the base of the bag. I shall have to tell my daughter, I case she purchases one for anyone else, I know she will be devastated. Seeing so many review with the poor quality of the bags and bad customer service, there seems little I can do about it without upsetting my daughter, so I shall have to put up with it!

Shocking Customer Service... I really liked the design of the first Red Cuckoo bag I owned, even though it was on the pricey side for a handbag that wasn't leather. As it was getting the worse for wear I asked for a new one, different design, for my birthday. My daughter bought it for me and I was delighted (it was a big expense for her, too, as she is a student. About six weeks later, the strap attachment came away on one side. I emailed photos and the original order confirmation to Red Cuckoo and heard nothing. I phoned and was told I needed to use the '.co.uk' email address and was assured I would get a response the same day. I heard nothing and emailed again asking for at least an acknowledgement of receipt. Nothing. Phoned again, was told someone would contact me the same day. Nothing. After a few days phoned again and was told that the email had been received and it was being 'evaluated' by the returns department and that I would hear back very shortly. Have phoned several times since and been fobbed off ('my supervisor is on the phone at the moment', 'someone will definitely call you back today' etc etc). SHOCKING customer service, just unbelievably bad. If I have the energy I will report to Trading Standards. At the very least I will review at every opportunity. I had planned to purchase another bag from Red Cuckoo, a tote, but needless to say they've lost that business...
