I'm so glad I found Untype. I had been searching for a trichologist who specialised in afro hair for a while. I was nervous about my appointment as I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I arrived, Ebuni put me at ease. Ebuni explained step by step what she was doing. She showed me what she was looking at and explained what she saw. I found the consultation very thorough and informative, and I was able to leave reassured with helpful information.

I heard about Untype through a friend that mentioned she was visiting a trichologist. I had no idea what that was or that I needed the services that Ebuni provided, but I asked for an appointment anyway thinking I could learn something about my hair here. So I went in, asked for a cut & curly style along with my consultation. Surprisingly, Ebuni was able to show me some hair loss occurring in parts of my scalp which I didn't even realize was happening. Everything she showed me she explained well with patience and care, as well as tips and solutions to what we discovered. She wasn't trying to instill any fear around what we found or hook me into some other treatments or products. She simply, presented me with her expert opinion and gave me advice on what I could do. I've never felt so "cared for" in a hair salon before. It was truly a great experience being able to go to someone who has some scientific expertise around what they prescribed for my hair. I left with a plan of action for the next few months and an open door of communication with Ebuni to check back in and re-assess my progress.
