I needed my decking to be changed as it is old and damaged further by water leaking from a gutter above. Chris first asked me by phone for 35.00 just to look at the decking and provide me with a quote and he stated that the 35.00 would only be refunded if I agreed for the company to install the decking. I was surprised by this as most companies offer a free no obligation quote and the website states that they provide a free no obligation quote. It is a small area that needs to be decked so I was shocked that it would cost 2000.00 especially as he stated that he would try to salvage all my remaining wood. Furthermore, without sending me a contract detailing the work or even the fact that I agreed on a date and time to start the work, he asked me for a 500.00 deposit without clarifying if this would be refunded. I realised that he was the first quote that I had and felt that he was expensive as well as I had no knowledge or assurance of the quality I would receive therefore, I decided I would get at least two more quotes so I asked him to refund the 500.00 but he has refused to do this and states that he has used it to purchase materials already and that he also arranged for the work to be done. I dont understand how he could have purchased the materials as well as arranged the work without sending me a contract detailing the work he would actually do and also without my signed agreement. He stated that his company is fully booked until February but he has fitted me in especially. I questioned him that if he is fully booked until February why would it be a problem to cancel my work and refund my 500.00 but he has refused completely stating that he spent the money on the materials of which I will not receive any benefit. I am completely disgusted with him and his company and I will be seeking a full refund of the full 535.00 as soon as possible as he has not offered me any service to warrant this payment as well as he cheated me regarding the 35.00 for an initial quote as he was clearly trying to obtain my card payment details. Since seeing this review he has threatened me by text that if I dont remove it from his website within the next 6 days he will be instructing his solicitor. I want to add that he admitted on his first text to me that he put the materials I would require aside in the warehouse and since then he has repeatedly stated that he has purchased the materials. I am sure the former is true.

I found Gardenline on google and after receiving several quotes I decided to go with these guys as they seemed competitive and knowledgeable about the job (replacing a large garden fence). The result after two days work was excellent - really professional finish and a pleasure to deal with Chris and his team. 5 stars

I booked Garden line this May 2020 and I was so happy that I did, Chris and his team were very professional and done excellent work. Garden Line went more and beyond in making my garden a maintenance free and making it look beautiful for me to enjoy. I have recommended Garden Line to my friends and anyone else, as they wont be disappointed.
