I have been going to Bistro Aix with my family for around 17 years and it never disappoints. The food is absolutely delicious, classic French with particularly good sauces and we always trust Elodie the manager to look after us and recommend the perfect wine within our budget. It has a wonderful atmosphere and I couldn't recommend it enough. I hope to be coming back for another 17 years!

Arrived at this local restaurant with high hopes. We were put in the back room next to a drafty external door. Asked to be moved to another table which was accommodated. Waited and waited and finally went through to the main restaurant to ask for menus. Eventually our food order was taken and we asked for bread for the table. We were given plates for the bread but the starters arrived first, 45 minutes after arriving at the restaurant. The bread plates were taken away and then the bread arrived! Another long unacceptable wait until our main courses arrived 90 minutes after entering. We felt neglected and forgotten about in the soulless backroom. Customers at the front seemed to have a totally different experience. A 230 bill and when complaints raised no offer of a refund. A disorganized shambles from this establishment with the owner/manager offering poor excuses for the appalling service. If you do decide to dine here rather than the excellent Les 2 Garcons on Middle Lane then make sure you ask for a table at the front of the restaurant. I will never eat here again but save my custom for Les 2 Garcons who know how to treat their customers.
