No.5 Dining & Lounge

Visited for my friend's birthday celebrations and was very disappointed with food and managers decision for complaint at the shish lounge. Food arrived in two separate times so the food was cold by time the sides arrived was promised discount at end of bill but wasn't gaven. Meatballs and tiger prawns was salty, one tiger prawn was missing from my food was offered replacement but kitchen had closed so they returned my food and remove from my bill. Fried chicken breast, tiger prawn and mashed potatoes was bland and had no flavour. The steak was dry.The quality and quantity of food for the price of food are not worthy it. The sides portions are to small especially the mash and rice. Cocktails was too weak. The only good experience was the deco of the lounge, music, dancers, shish and waiter service.

Im was extremely excited to dine at No.5 Resturant and Lounge, I booked it for a friends birthday who was visiting from out of town. When we arrived I was informed by front of house that my reservation was for the lounge which wasnt stipulated at the point of booking but she was helpful and informed us the lounge had a better aesthetic. We were later informed that the booking system had made an error on several reservations and they were apologetic. The front of house staff in the lounge were politely unhelpful and seemed to overlook us for other patrons, unfortunately the lounge area was overcrowded and filled with smoke and Im asthmatic. The seating was low and would have been difficult to eat my sirloin Steak on the low coffee-est tables. Our coffee table was meant for 4 however the adjacent patrons were almost sitting in my lap. When I finally approached the waiter he was knowledgeable, well mannered and effective. Despite several conversations to be moved and agreement to source another table we were left waiting and dissatisfied. Unfortunately the atmosphere was loud cramped and not unsuitable for a birthday so we left. My overall rating is 2 simply because of the front of house lady in the restaurant and waiter. I will not be returning.

Went yesterday for a birthday, unfortunately down to a glitch on the website we were unable to be seated in the restaurant. So was seated in the generic lounge, imbedded in Shisha pipes when none of us smoked. There appeared to be some concern shared by management but very little actually done. Leaving us hovering mostly. 45 minutes later.. just about had an order taken for drinks and we just decided to leave. It was very busy and the manager did apologise but it really ruined our night. Its definitely somewhere you could wear jeans and a nice shirt to. Felt highly overdressed. Its like the syon lounge (Brentford) of north London, with a lower quality of patrons. Overall the staff were polite but I wasnt left with much of an experience to review.

Very nice environment, presentation and meals are fine dinning, loved it. .. A very good night out with the girls. . Parking: It's a residential area, therefore late dining is advisable for parking.

Cocktails were tasty and strong, the food was much better then I expected it to be. My steak was a little dry but the Octopus and Scallops were cooked perfectly, I enjoyed every bite. Beautiful venue but the staff werent the most polite
