We asked Peckfords to repair a light fitting 5 minutes walk from their office in Oakwood. After 8 days, 2 visits and 4 phonecalls, I visited the shop, where a rude and surly man called Cliff refused to attend to undertake the repair. He was bad-tempered and shockingly rude. Keep clear of this company. Further note: I see that the shop owner has now responded. But he is not telling the truth. A fee for the service had been agreed and so it was a professional service that was not supplied. As to the shop owner's behaviour, it was unprovoked - he was impolite from the moment I entered the shop, unprofessional and he should have done the decent thing and apologised instead of trying to justify himself. Friendly and very helpful staff. Got exactly what I needed plus good advice. There is a variety of goods on offer keys, electrical bits and pieces, bulbs and lots of DIY goods.
