This is not a compliment, I had a very intensive knowledge from Fay on the techniques of acting on stage and on the screen, together with a very diversified group of students coming from different backgrounds. Respect and positive approaches were accommodated in the class, a lot of team work implementing the individual presence and work as well. I would recommend it to anyone who want to emphasise between acting to feel good and acting to be professional. Thanks to Fay Beck studio

When they same teaching professionalism, they mean it! I attended an intensive Foundations after previously trialing out a drop in class. Everything about the way I thought about acting changed! The teachers we had during the course were all very helpful and knowledgable. I have taken many classes is London and most of them want to tell you how amazing you are or that you are doing great work. After a week of the Foundation course I now know that is more about good customer service rather than good training. Which is what you need to be good and to be a professional. I'm now seriously thinking about doing the drama course in September this year.

I attended a drop in class recently and was really impressed by the class. The teacher took the time to explain the method and was very knowledgable. It was a small group so we had a lot of time to work per person. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a technique to acting.

One of the worst acting experiences I ever had in London. I tried the "drop in acting class" on a Sunday at 11am and I was given a "teacher" (to call her somehow) that didn't even introduced herself to the students (I thought we had a male teacher coming in but she appeared and did not even had the nice gesture of introducing herself to the new students like myself that never saw her before), she lost 15min just using a laptop without saying to us how the class would be performed or guided (she was just doing something on a laptop because she was typing without even looking at the students), she said that the class would be only 1h when it states to be 2h when you book it and she was very rude. Not even a smile or a thanks to the students for appearing to the class. Instead, she was putting other students down for "booking the Sunday class but not making presence" with a superiority feeling and bad manners. She (finally) started the class after 15mins past the initial time and her first words were: "This is not a technique class. Take out whatever you wanted to prepare". The description of the "drop in" it stated, indeed, that you can work on scripts but it also said that students without anything prepared would be given tasks or something to "work on", however, she made us to google whatever script we could find to work on it instead of "losing time" (said by her). After this, a boy left the class. Another girl who attended the class asked the "teacher" if the class would be recorded and she said that we can record with our phones on a tripod (????). She was literally telling us that "she made everything clear" on the drop in description and when I kindly asked her if the studio was holding acting classes on the weekends as other acting schools in London (because apparently this was not an acting class itself) she put me down saying "we are not other schools". I repeated to her that my only question was if the studio had classes during the weekends as it is hard to combine a full time job and a half-day course in acting in an adult stage during the week and her answer was "this is what you will do if you want to be an actor". She was, basically, telling me to drop my job to do the acting course to "be an actor". I never received such a treatment from acting teachers or professionals and this is definitely my first and last time at this studio. I left at the beginning of the class too because I didn't even felt the atmosphere to continue acting. I also had a prior problem with this company as I was supposed to attend this drop in 1 week before and even though I got sick and tried to cancel 24h before, no one answered my phone or emails so I lost 2 classes for, literally, nothing. They do not even seem to bother to reply bad experiences/reviews, to give refunds for bad experiences or to change anything so, good luck to anyone joining their courses...
