My daughter was kicked out of the empty shop at 8:45am as she had her 5 year old with her! The assistants stated that government guidance states no under 16s are allowed in the shop! This is a lie! It would seem the shop is owned by the same people who own Premier next door who expect you to leave your child with a member of staff outside the shop so you can go in! Totally unreasonable. Are the staff DBS checked? Where is the gov guidance on this? My granddaughter was very upset. She just wanted a treat for after school! A 5 year old, who is already experiencing lots of change at school was kicked out of a shop and told she should wait outside... safeguarding? Totally disgusted by this attitude.
