    Rude owner

The owner is extremely rude and to be frank quite a nasty women, she sells food items that have perished and gone off then when you politely return the item shouts and tries to deny that you ever came into the shop, despite being with two other people at the time and speaking to the owner herself when purchased. (At least check your cameras before outright calling your customers liars and shouting I dont believe you) in front of other customers which is not professional and highly disrespectful! Any other decent person would have apologised for the inconvenience it had caused to the customer and the food I had to bin after realising the milk was off. In addition to this the owner also tried to blame my fridge and said your fridge must be broken in a very abrupt tone. I politely tried to calm the situation as she was so unprofessional with an attitude problem, I explained it was nothing personal at her and these things can happen and she proceeded to shout at me denying anything was wrong with her milk. She reluctantly refunded me uttering something under her breath but I didnt want that i would have been happy with an exchange as it was milk I needed, I left the off milk with her and said maybe you want to speak to your supplier and she shouted at me to take it away there is nothing wrong with her supplier. This is the second time this owner has been not very nice towards me, the first time when I purchased something in the summer a can of beer burst and sprayed all over me as she was stacking the shelves, she did nothing to help me and did not offer or give me anything to wipe myself down, not even an apology. She fabricates and twists the truth and Id rather walk few minutes down the road to Tesco in future. The owner was also extremely rude to my friend and her young son when she made a purchase a few months ago, the crisps she purchased was already slightly open when she bought them causing crisps to go soggy but my friend didnt realise until she had left the shop and was outside when she retired them the owner accused her of lying and shouted at her. Im very surprised that this horrible business has lasted so long in such a lovely community with very nice people and other great local businesses. After speaking to others who live in the area it seems this shop already has quite a bad reputation and Im not the only person who has had a bad experience. I advise not buying from this shop and supporting other local shops who treat customers with respect and deserve the business.

Rubbish. They have a tea machine on the counter but you have to buy a whole carton of milk if you take milk (as most English people do). Who is going to buy a carton of milk and then either throw the rest away or carry milk round with you all day. OK so handy if you feed a lot of stray cats on your way to work but otherwise pretty pointless.
