Tesco Express

This is by far the worst Tesco in London. Tiny and cramped with a poor selection. Most self checkout machines are broken that combines with a horrible layout to create horrible queues.

UPDATED 06-11-2022: Now closed for three days straight. No staff, no indication of reopening, nothing at all @tesco - what are you complete and utter wasters doing? Why are you wasting the residents of Kew's time with your pathetic 'store'? No deviation from the expected uselessness, visible apathy and palpable laziness of run of the mill tesco staff. Walked around this joint at 9 o'clock on a sunday morning with a basket full of beers during which time cashier person ACTUALLY LOOKED IN TO THE BASKET TO SEE WHAT WAS IN THERE, which was weird enough but whatever. After which, arriving at the checkout, same cashier person comes at me with NO BEER ONLY AFTER TEN O CLOCK. Useless. MARK THE FRIDGE CARRYING ONLY ALCOHOL WITH THE FACT THAT IT IS SUBJECT TO TRADING RESTRICTIONS. No water, bread or toilet paper on the shelves come second of April. Somewhat less combative, more involved indian geezer behind the counter claims 'waiting for delivery, maybe 10 o'clock'. At least one actively disinterested staff - disagreeable woman barely 'operating' the till weekdays. Really just standing there doing as little as possible, will barely greet customers if they attempt civility, and will do no more than toss a tesco packet at you if you have to even ask for one.

They should introduce more self service check outs. Always long, chaotic queue with people queuing for the self service check outs and the cashier till in one line. Or even better replace it with Waitrose..

staff are okay but the queue for check out makes zero sense. theres always 2 lines forming either for self checkout or cashier and then people start getting annoyed
