I picked up my car today. We skipped the queue because we were victims of crime. The staff member who processed my car was lovely. But there was 3 other staff members who did nothing. There was a queue of people standing outside and staff were there having a chat with other colleagues. There was a black employee who stopped the staff member and made us to wait while she proceeded to socialise with him. This is your job, you should be helping people rather than socialise. There were 5 cubicles, and only 2 had staff. Why weren't there more staff in the cubicles help process more cars? Absolutely terrible. Also have all your paper work with you!! Or else they will not let you skip the queue.

Went there today after reading horrible reviews. My car was impounded due to no insurance and I was advised to go there all the way from Romford. It took me 1:30HR In qu and I advise everyone to go there as early as possible because there are less people there. Most people come by cab but if u do Wana take your car ,park on your own risk as there's no car park for visitors and therefore I had to park it on double yellow while keeping an eye on it.Also if your car is impounded due to having no insurance,I suggest you take out a full comprehensive insurance policy(with 14 days cooling off period) to release your car because it cost way less than getting impound special insurance which only last 30 days and I was quoted 600 lol. Also don't forget to take required documents as this makes process much quicker. It took me 10 mins for them to process my documents and payment then they brought my car out within 5 mins. The officer(Asian Brudda) who we dealt with was a kind, helpful and polite young man who was very professional and helped make our impound release easy.Thank you Sir you're great person.

This is a hopeless service if you're a victim of car theft. We spent 3 hours standing in the queue to be told the car has no damage on different reports. Car is meant to be driven to the gates, but pound worker comes to me and says car does not work. No facilities for people with mobility issues. Public aren't allowed to enter place where cars are kept but he let me in anyway. My car was damaged and not roadworthy. Workers at the desk would not respond when I said the pound engineer said "no damage". Because of their lies, my insurers did not want to look at my insurance claim. Pound office smells like cigarettes. We could see staff having a cigarette each time they left the office to look at a car. I got insurance to take the car from the pound who then said it was unroadworthy. They have no shame. Was my car damaged in the car pound? Why did pound staff lie about damage?
