I had a hypnobirthing preparation session with Rachel a few weeks before giving birth which proved to be invaluable. I had heard about hypnobirthing but did not really know much it. Rachel explained it in simple terms and dispelled any myths I previously held. She provided some useful resources and techniques which I used daily afterwards. They were accessible, manageable and helped me feel more positive and prepared for labour. I had other general parenting queries such as regarding breastfeeding. Rachel generously passed on insight and advice from her professional midwifery and personal experience. No question was too small! She made me feel very at ease about the prospect of parenthood. I would highly recommend Rachel to any parent-to-be for her calm, friendly, knowledgable and well-informed approach.

My sessions with Rachel covered hypnobirthing and antenatal education. Being one to one I was able to ask all the questions I needed to and we covered all the topics in a greater level of detail than on a group-based course. I felt really well-informed and confident following the course, and very reassured by the fact Rachel is an experienced midwife that her advice was evidence and experience based. Rachel also offered a session with my partner focusing on their role, and a post-natal session to discuss the birth a little while afterwards. My birth didnt go quite as smoothly as I had hoped, but the preparation I had done with Rachel meant that I was much more able to understand what was happening, respond calmly and make the decisions I needed to. One of the staff in theatre said to my partner afterwards that they could tell I had done hypnobirthing without either of us mentioning it - which is testament to Rachels teaching skills! I thoroughly recommend her services to all expectant parents.

Rachel was an amazing teacher. She guided us through the ideas behind hypnobirthing and the breathing techniques, as well as answering all the questions we had around labour. Being a trained midwife she was incredibly knowledgable and really took the time to answer our questions. We found speaking to Rachel really reassuring as she was able to give us more in depth information than we had been able to read ourselves or learn on our antenatal course. The techniques Rachel taught us were really useful during the labour and meant we had a calm birth, where both me and my partner felt informed and in control throughout. I would highly recommend sessions with Rachel for any first time parents to be.

Rachel was incredibly informative, knowledgeable and a fantastic teacher. She went through in detail all aspects of hypnobirthing and what to expect before, during and after labour. Very friendly, reassuring and open to any questions throughout. Rachel offered a lot of scientific data with valuable statistics which helped us put things into perspective and make informed decisions. Rachel also sent us some very useful course materials (slides, recordings, birth chart) and was very prompt in her communication which we really appreciated. For a 1 on 1 session, it was great value for money and we would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely loved my course with Rachel, was so informative and I learnt so much! Her extensive knowledge and supportive and calm manner as well as an ability to answer all my (many!) questions in a way that made me really understand and feel confident around the birthing process has really helped me overcome my fears around labour - in fact, i'm quite looking forward to it now! I really appreciated Rachel's knowledge of scientific studies and research as well as the excellent hypnobirthing exercises and mp3s she gave me - I use them daily and feel so much more confident and better able to make informed decisions for me and my baby. Thank you so much for all your help - would highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel informed, confident and prepared for labour and birth.
