Very disappointed. Bought a four year old X-trail a few weeks ago. Took the car in to be examined since the battery didn't seem to be holding a charge. Unsurprisingly it needed a new battery. The warranty doesn't cover the battery so I had to pay in full. I would have expected some goodwill concession given that I'd not had the car long.

BUYER BEWARE! Rear sliding door came off the rail on my Nissan taxi. Waited 4 hours in the freezing January weather for Nissan to send someone to come and fix the door as it was jammed in the open position. After dismantling the the door mechanism, the repair attendee covered the damaged part with duct tape as a temporary repair to stop the door coming off the rail until it was seen to by Nissan.. (thats right, duct tape!) Took it the next morning to Nissan Ancasters Croydon. Teresa (manager) & Shannon (service) were absolutely brilliant. For some reason, I had a fight on my hands to replace the parts that the faulty mechanism had damaged in the process of its failure, being the sliding rail & the actual roller mechanism that allows the door to slide along the rail. Eventually, Nissan UK capitulated and authorised the replacement parts. I booked the vehicle in for repair only to receive a phone call from Ancastors informing me that Nissan wanted 270.00 to remove the panels in order to fit the parts under warranty. But wait, I hear you ask isnt it under warranty?? Yes! But nevertheless, they wanted the money for them to carry out repairs, UNDER WARRANTY, on a vehicle that is only 2 years old. When I spoke to Teresa, you can see the embarrassment on her face but her hands were tied by Nissan UK. I opted to remove the panels myself which took me 5 maybe 10, ok, 11 minutes to do. So.. thinking of buying a Nissan? Think again! DONT DO IT..buy another brand where theyre more then happy to honour the warranty that comes with the vehicle after they have sold you a pup, UNLIKE NISSAN!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! If I could put zero stars I would. Very unhappy with the way I have been treated.
