My boyfriend and I came in for a late brunch. He ordered a fish sandwich and chips with he throughly enjoyed. I ordered an avocado and bacon sandwich, which on the menu says come with lettuce and Mayo inside. I also ordered some chips and a poached egg on the side. When my food came, it had no avocado, Mayo or lettuce inside. I send it back telling the caf employe that it was missing items. Its then handed back to me at the table with avocado and Mayo added in. I go back and ask about the lettuce and shes like its meant to be on the side. However, from my boyfriends sandwich I can see the lettuce was meant to be inside because his was (his lettuce was inside and he said it was because thats what it said it came with on the menu), and he also had the same salad chucked on the side of the plate like mine that the lady claimed was lettuce for my sandwich. My sandwich said it came with lettuce in the menu too. However, the lady decided to gaslight me. Dont come here unless you want to be gaslit on your own order. These people couldnt care less. My boyfriend has been a fan of the food here for years, however the terrible customer service means we wont be returning.

Since this place has such high reviews I can only assume that my issue relates to take away orders. A sausage & egg sandwich costing 8.45 is bad enough. When the order has one sausage & one egg in it then thats no longer cost of living or inflation its just ridiculous. There are so many better establishments in Muswell Hill providing great food at much better value for money. Take your patronage there.
