35 years doing driveways and patio buying tons of stuff all over England and this disaster of a company wants 11 pound a bag for cement when it is posted on build base website for 8 pound including vat also can buy next door in jewsons for 6 pound a bag, the staff are so ignorant and laid back is not normal avoid at all cost should be shut down told us national shortage of cement that's why their over charging total profiteering

After a shockingly bad experience with Wickes my Dad recommended I tried buildbase. Slightly more expensive than wickes yes but I am glad I paid extra because they didn't disappoint. I placed the order late Tuesday for 2 tonne of ballast and 18 bags of cement. I have little experience ordering materials but their website makes ordering what you need so simple. Wednesday morning they called to book a delivery and Thursday lunchtime it was delivered. This is my first garden and I couldn't deal with losing money again over another failed delivery! The driver was excellent, don't let him go! Not only was he polite and helpful but went above and beyond. He could see it was just me and my Dad (who is a retired roofer so whilst strong he's no longer young) and threw some of the cement bags on his shoulder and carried them into the garden for us. Will definitely be using them again.
