Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Perfect for an afternoon cocktail. Special shout-out for our waitress in the checked shirt (unfortunately don't have her name), who provided first-rate service.

I had the absolute worst experience here and will never return. I would first like to say the hosts Ive interacted with were so friendly, helpful and accommodating so no complaints there but just praises! With that said, everything else was a nightmare. It took a while for the waiter to take our order after we were sat, and when he finally did and we placed our order, we waited for 45min before we were served food. We asked to have the sides served first, but were told it wasnt possible. When our Sunday roast finally came, we asked about the starters we had ordered that never came; turns out,, the waiter forgot to put the order for the starters in. The meat was good for the Sunday roast, but the Yorkshire pudding was way too overdone, dried and hard. Our waiter also forgot to bring us gravy. The vegetables for the Sunday roast was way too salty. The creamed spinach side dish tasted very gingery which was bizarre given that ginger is not an ingredient in creamed spinach. I would not return and would not advise anyone else to go either. After all the hassle, there were no apologies, no attempts to make things right and we likely were overcharged, but just wanted to get out ASAP. Because of how late they made us, we also ended up late to our plans after. Ruined our first sightseeing day in London and our first Sunday roast experience.

As a huge and loyal fan of Hawksmoor since it originally opened and having visited Lowback in its first few weeks, I was so disappointed by last nights experience. All the steps of service missed (no clearing of the table, no water top up, inattentive wait staff and sadly the worst Shaky Petes Ive ever had). 400 for that lot was not good. They werent busy and the one guy serving our section (loud shirt, long hair up in a man bun), seemed to be going for super laid back but just ended up at first shift, bored. Wont be going back I dont imagine.

The restaurant was lovely, my friends enjoyed it and the food was amazing too. I do have to say the service was a bit slow, I was hosting a birthday dinner and we had to keep waiting but I understand it. Thank you for your hospitality, I would come again. And do give credit to the Italian guy with the brown hair and glasses, he was such a highlight for the night. He laughed at all our jokes ahaha
