Halifax

I found a dormant account with the Halifax recently, unfortunately not something that you can deal with online, so made my first visit to a Halifax branch in many a moon. It was nice, warm and welcoming with only one person already in their and being dealt with. In no time I too was being assisted and very helpfully too with my old account closed down and reclaimed funds in my hand. Now, what should I spend my 7p on?

We have been customers at the Teddington branch of the Halifax Bank for many years and have always been satisfied with the service provided. Too many rude and entitled customers complain if they don't get what they want when they want it.

Very poor customer service. The only cashier was dealing with a customer and the other employee was also in the discussion, this went on for about 5 mins. Meanwhile I'm till waiting. The other employee then came out into the small cost omer lobby and just stood there, supposedly to assist any customers coming in. I was totally ignored. No apologies. In all I was standing there for about 15 mins. Will not be recommending Halifax to anyone. Same in the Richmond branch. Opening hours are a joke. Closes early not open on a Saturday. Staff there also disinterested. Will be checking out Metro Bank.

No wonder Halifax is at the very bottom of the Customer Satisfaction Ranking table! The stuff is lacking in basic customer care and efficiency, let alone manners. My every other visit to Teddington branch is a struggle. Wondering, what kind of training do they provide to their appaling "managerial" staff?! Came today in order to get large amount of cash - was denied! My own hard earned money, right? Well, wrong, according to a Halifax manager! No apology for inconvenience offered out of common courtesy, no explanation. I asked to order cash for Monday. Again - refusal, but endless questions "why cash is needed". I became very upset. Changing my bank ASAP! And filing a formal complaint.
