A very beautiful church. When I visited the parish priest was about to say a private mass which he permitted me to join him in the side chapel. I felt honoured to be shown around and told some of the history of the church and parish by the parish priest who has been in post for some 50 years. The church has a nice organ and a fine set of stations of the cross. The church has a garden of remeberence where ashes maybe set down and are watched over by an attractive statue of the resurrected Christ. St Alphage is a beautiful church of England with Roman influences and is a pleasant place to sit and be.
