Upon arrival, all seemed well, except there was a swimming instructor from 'swim now', who was quite abrupt and rude. She spoke to my children in a not very nice manner when they were swimming (not interfering with her lesson, just swimming) and she angrily told them off.
She also mentioned that she would 'get them kicked out' as one of the boys that she was currently teaching was engaging in a game of catch, with a soft ball, with my children.
But the swim now lady didn't like it, as the ball was not supposed to be in the pool according to her, although the receptionist for the pool didn't seem bothered by it.
At one point, a boy that she was teaching threw the ball near her, and she angrily exclaimed at my son, who did not even throw the ball, that it was HIS fault and he would be 'kicked out' if it happened again.
Very rude lady, and just seemed to be looking to get people into trouble or tell them off.

I don't trust the water. I'm 64 and have tried several times to swim during my life but have failed because I didn't address the fear first. I have had 4 lessons with Susan so far and she listened to my concerns and started me right at the beginning by just getting used to the feel of the water. Since then I have managed to put my head under water, I can float, I have learned how to stand up and propel myself forward which is all great but I'm not yet able to do any of that without my instructor being within arms reach. Early days but she says I have made lots of progress.
Susan has been patient throughout and seems to understand my foolish fear whilst pushing me a little farther each time. Two steps forward and one step back I'm afraid but I hope I'm close to achieving my aim of beginning and ending the swim without help.
