Lower House Farm - Wedding Venue and Events Barn

Wow - we are still on cloud nine after our wedding at Lower House Farm last week. It was the most beautiful location to get married, with incredibly delicious food, amazing staff and a wonderful place to stay for the weekend. We felt fully supported every step of the way by Natalie, who also helped coordinate on the day which was especially important to us as we did most of it ourselves. It was important to us that we got married somewhere with space outside, locally sourced food and a relaxed atmosphere and Lower House Farm was just that. We cannot recommend it enough. Our guests had the most wonderful day and all agreed it was well worth travelling for - some as far as Dublin, Perth and Vancouver! If we could do it all over again this week, we would in a heartbeat! Thank you - Lauren & Rob

We had our wedding here after booking it 8 weeks prior to the event! We just couldn't resist having their last day of year available after arranging to view it. It turns our it's perfectly possible to organise a wedding in 8 weeks! at least when you're lucky enough to have found a venue you love the has availability. Nicole, the coordinator, was massively helpful throughout the whole planning period and nothing was too much to ask from her. She was able to advise on anything we couldn't figure out or needed help with, they have an excellent list of suppliers, a couple of which we ended up using. Though the venue is spectacular alone, for us the main selling point was the food! All cooked in an outside kitchen either over fire or coals, or a wood fired oven for the pizzas. Everything was as amazing as it sounded on paper. They also take extra concern with the environmental impacts of the event, sourcing everything as local as possible and any products we were getting in were kindly requested to be biodegradable/recyclable etc, something we were also very happy with. The most perfect wedding venue! We had the most magical day and couldn't be happier that we chose to get married at Lower House Farm. Emily was incredible, both in the planning and on the day. She made everything run smoothly and it was just perfect. We loved getting married in a sustainable venue with the most unbelievably delicious locally-sourced food. I couldn't recommend it enough, just wish we could do the day all over again!

We had our wedding at Lower House Farm in July 2021. Right from the beginning, we knew it was the perfect venue for us - it's so personal, really in touch with nature and from the beginning we could tell the team really cared about us and our wedding. The day was absolutely perfect, Emily and her team did so much to make it run smoothly despite last minute changes and the nightmare of covid. The oak tree, waterfall, ancient barn and outdoor covered areas made it such an enjoyable space to use - and Jake's food - WOW. Just so delicious. We'd 100% recommend this venue.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a friends wedding here on the weekend & it was incredible. There was staff everywhere from directing cars where to park, greeting all the guests as they arrived, drinks on endless supply & just all round super friendly & so helpful. The food was beautiful & so fresh with lots of options to cater for everyone. The barn is lovely & the reception area inside is so beautifully rustic & has a really lovely, cosy atmosphere to the place. Lots of space to camp on site or local places for guests to stay the weekend too & not too far from the venue either. And finally the views & the surrounding areas are just beautiful. Theres 2 garden spaces to explore & is a great space for an outside wedding or garden games & the garden to the rear of the reception area is just stunning. A really lovely place to come for a wedding as a guest & I would also highly recommend as a wedding venue. I had a great time & places like these are only as good as the staff that run them, so hats off to all the staff because you all did an outstanding job.
