My friend and I usually go to Donnas class on a Monday and love it. We agreed to go to the Saturday class one week as we couldnt go in the week. It was during storm Eunice, so we struggled to get there, but managed to arrive at 10am. We assumed that we would be fine because it was the exact time the classes start and we only needed to take our shoes off to be ready. However, when we arrived, the door was locked. We rang the doorbell and knocked but nobody answered. Around 5 minutes later we heard someone walking and the music starting, and sadly had to leave as they were not letting us in. I messaged the instructor to ask what had happened and he explained that the door is locked at 10am exactly. He didnt apologise at all for the fact we didnt get our class. Considering we got there at 10am, he must have locked the door early, which seems very unfair given the bad weather.
I then messaged to say I appreciated the class shouldnt be disrupted but thought there would be a few minutes leeway, as this had happened many times in the other class. The instructor did not reply to my message, apologise, or offer for us to join another class.
For the sake of 9, he not only ruined my day, but put both of us off from attending again or suggesting the classes to our friends, which we had been doing. He seems a very unprofessional and unkind man, with one friend saying he shouted at them in class.
Perhaps my experience was unusual but I want to warn people from attending his class. I think he owns the business too, which is a great shame, as I wouldnt even go for Donnas classes knowing the money goes to him.
