No facilities. Sandhills is soulless as a station. Hopefully with new Everton stadium it may get an upgrade. At least somewhere you can buy coffee.

Merseyrail train station on the Northern Line. Fairly modern looking. Two platforms. Place to change for Southport, Ormskirk and Kirkby branches. A couple of enclosed waiting rooms and some benches on the platforms. Lots of CCTV cameras. Good view of the Everton stadium being built nearby.

Mainly used as an interchange station, you see more people getting off here to get onto a different train than to leave the station. The station gets the highest number of services outside which sees it a large place for trainspotters, however it is also a large hub for smokers too. There is lots of litter on the platforms and on the tracks, despite bins being available... The station sees frequent trains to Liverpool, Hunts Cross (for trains to Warrington and Manchester), Southport (For trains to Wigan and Manchester), Ormskirk (For trains to Preston) and Kirkby (For trains to Wigan, Manchester, Rochdale and Blackburn) If you want to use Sandhills station you have to choose between standing with groups of chavs arguing with the Byelaw Enforcement Officers, or stand with smokers at the end of the platform
