An unique tour to experience how a busy tunnel works. Started with a detailed introduction of the history of the Queensway tunnel followed by some technical details of how tunnel works. Then we were shown how the ventilation system functions and the now retired control room. And along the way there were quite a few surprises that makes the tour even more immersive and exciting. The guides (Billy and Phil) had one of the best sense of humour Ive ever seen among tour guides and they make all the boring technical stuff sounds super fun. The best part is definitely going into the tunnel itself watching the traffic zooming pass where you wont be able to go there unless theres an emergency or you are a tunnel engineer. If you are looking for a special, immersive, eye opening experience in liverpool, this is definitely the one to go for. Paid 8.8 including booking fee for the tour and its worth every single penny.
