My wife needed double cream to make a banoffee pie. The shelves were empty on Friday during bank holiday jubilee. We asked Francine, who was filling the milk shelves on a step ladder. She stopped what she was doing and went out back to look for double cream. There was none there and she came back with single cream. She asked what our plans were and offered an alternative - put coconut milk in the fridge and it turns to whipped cream - who knew?? We carried on with our shop and as we were choosing crisps, Francine came from nowhere with a pot of double cream, telling us it had just come off the truck. In my experience, workers in other shops would not have even got off the step ladder, so we wanted to share our great experience with Francine and make sure it doesnt go unnoticed. Just waiting for the banoffee pie to set now. Thanks!
