Doctor Duncan's

This place was recommended by a friend; Knowledgeable and friendly barstaff made a really positive first impression, and the decor and original British pub stylings really sold this place to me as a top pub that I'd love to come back and spend more time in, well-done Doctor Duncan's!

This is one of the finest traditional pubs in liverpool with a real athletic pub feel. That said it was built as an insurance office but still had that cosy feel of a traditional pub. Always with a great choice of ale and once again owned by the same company as Cains ales which now returned. Sadly on recent visit Cains ales are no more but we can hope for the future. Amazing ales on tonight though and great service from the guy on the bar, very welcoming and chatty. Keep it up guys

Very good Liverpool pub not far from Lime Street Station. 4 cask beers on handpump when I visited including a porter. The pub has an impressive Victorian interior with four different drinking areas, of which the green tiled room is particularly handsome. The pubs name commemorates Doctor Duncan, the first chief medical officer of Liverpool and a campaigner against poor living conditions in Victorian Liverpool.
