Some issued I have experienced are:
1.Continuing unresolved noise issues with broken showers which have persisted for several months despite raising the issue many times (most flats have issues with their showers; they make a loud noise that sounds like drilling due to trapped air);
2. Minimal staff levels on reception;
3. Washing machines that break regularly and leave deposits that stain your clothes;
4. Bright lights which are on all night which, paired with thin curtains, doesn't help with sleeping.
When picking up a package there are scheduled times to collect your deliveries. However, most of the time no one is manning the reception desk due to understaffing.
There are 5 washing machines and 5 tumble dryers for hundreds of flats. I don't know if they are cleaned - they only seem to receive maintenance work if they break which, by the way, may take from a week to a month. I clean the washing machine before I use it to avoid staining.
With little regard for cleaners or students who work and live here, the lift has been broken and left unresolved for months.
I have had some positive experiences, though. The issues I have had in my bathroom were fixed, and when our electricity went down it was fixed the same day. When staff are not overloaded they are able to do their jobs, which they do efficiently. This is why I think there is a staffing issue.
The location is great, so are the rooms and bathrooms. However, due to management issues I would recommend you look elsewhere unfortunately.
