Our Lady & St Philomena's Catholic Primary School

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL!! I had to withdraw my 7 year old son from this school because of bullying and the school refused to deal with it they actually called it rough play!! My son suffered terrible with anxiety and self esteem. The final straw was him talking about starving himself until he died after being dragged around by 4 boys by his tie (a tie I stated I didn't want him to wear for fear of being strangled but was told it was compulsory he had to wear it) at break time and that was just one incident it went on for over 2 years. I was constantly in and out the head teachers office sometimes in tears because I didn't want to leave him there. It got to the point where I actually withdrew him to be homeschooled, after 6 months of no school he is finally settled, happy and his brilliant personality and character is shining through again. His new school have been amazing and so supportive he loves it there his words were "everyone's so nice mum" I ask him if hes had a good day in school an he replies "it wasnt just good it was great". You wouldn't believe the impact it had on our home life what he suffered here the difference now is just remarkable I can take him the park again hes starting football practice, these are things we could never do before. My reason for leaving this review is I spoke to a random stranger in a shop and she said her 10 year old daughter was being bullied in school low and behold she went to this school. I said do what you've got to do to get her out because they wont help her or you so hopefully you read this before placing your child/children here. P.S I had to put that star to leave the review!

I went this school as a child and have my kids in here now wish I didn't now.
