St Francis Of Assisi Church

Long established, welcoming and lively community of faith, with inspired leadership from Fr Joe Kendall. St Francis Church is now the main place of worship in the parish of St Wilfred, which comprises four former parishes. They were: St Francis of Assisi, Holy Trinity, St Bernadette's and St Austin's. St Francis' is a beautiful church and Masses are well attended. I have added some photos and videos of the Corpus Christi procession on 23rd June 2019. It was wonderful to see it well attended. It was a great demonstration of devotion in a traditional manner, followed by a lovely party for adults and children alike, with complimentary food and drink... and a bouncy castle! Many thanks to Fr Joe and his supporters for organising it. Update: The high Mass on Christmas Day was inspirational. I have added a couple of pictures of the altar.

My family have worshipped at St Francis for four generations. It's a very beautiful place. It's still a busy Parish and is the heart of the Roman Catholic community for the surrounding area. You'll find a very warm welcome from Father Joe and the congregation should you visit there to attend Mass. Although I no longer live in the area so dont get to visit myself as often as I'd like, whenever I'm in Garston I try to attend Mass if I can.
