Please tell me why did it take 60 minutes long to release a bespoke prescribed prescription?

When my 86 year old mother missed their delivery by a minute or so because she was at the back door she rang them immediately and asked if they would turn back but they refused and left her without vital heart medication over the weekend. She could have been in the bathroom on the toilet and would have missed them because she would not have got to the door in time. My husband had to take a half day off work to collect it on the Monday. Some elderly people have no one who can do this for them.
