Where do I start? I have visited a number of local care homes in September and October 2021 and researched them in depth to look for a potential new home for a relative of mine. This by far is the WORST care home I have EVER come across even just from the outside. I am totally stunned as to how anyone could let a building get into such a state as this. I had a little nosey before thinking about going in or contacting them as a potential new home for a relative of mine. They have "sealed" a window with standard household expanding foam. There are defective bricks on the front/ side visible by the public and defective render/apalling repairs etc I have extensive experience of dealing with disrepair claims through past employment and was that appalled by the fact they clearly haven't carried out the repairs set out In several reports going back to 2009. I have been speechless since I saw this for myself and I think the competency of the alleged tradespeople begs to be questioned too. Risks and evidence of safety concerns with the building are documented in every CQC report (same issues, different dates, same excuses). See for yourself on the CQC website where these reports are publicly available. How many years can someone get away with using that same reason? Never mind the care.... My thoughts are.... If they can't manage to look after bricks and mortar.... How on earth can they manage to look after people? I've even taken this research further as to speak to anyone I can. The feedback so far is not good in any way. This suggests that not all of the reviews on here are genuine and in no way a professional approach to feedback. I personally THRIVE on feedback no matter what form (positive/negative). Then I see it as my challenge to turn that around into a positive and ensure it doesn't happen again. In relation to my search for a suitable carehome.....read y blog as it continues......... Look at everything you possibly can when searching for the right care home. Stay positive... Stay safe peeps.

I have visited Lyndhurst Care Home in the past and found the staff to be very friendly and compassionate. The home has a really cosy feel and residents looked happy.

Social workers work hard to help you but that's all I can say Plus owners response whenever someone complains is either that it never happened or the person wasn't there. Take a look at my original review in my photos which will tell you all you need to know. Yes I am a real person and do not appreciate when genuine feed back does not get taken seriously by the owner. There is no point in me making an official complaint as my grandmother is no longer alive and as my photo says, we managed to move her. I also do not wish to phone them since they didn't listen when she was alive, I doubt they will listen to the same things again now. I merely would like the owners to take note of the feedback left by everyone genuine and to use it productively for service improvements. It is to help so that no one else in the future has to experience what we went through. Hope this helps.
