Orrell Grange

My auntie has been in this amazing home since January. I honestly couldn't fault them on anything. The whole staff work very hard at making the residents feel comfortable and happy. I find them friendly, welcoming and helpful despite being busy all the time. It was such a relief to find this home when you are having to make very difficult decisions about care for a loved one.

Disgraceful place. They told my Father he had a place in their home, and once we got it sorted with the Hospital to discharge him there, they told us they'd give it away to somebody else without even informing us previously. The hospital spent two days trying to contact them, and the management failed to answer, and when we finally got through the manager was too busy to talk to the Hospital's Doctor. Causing my father to be stuck in hospital for further weeks. In my experience they seem to have no empathy or understanding, and the management is completely incompetent and uncaring

Rated GOOD on last CQC report. No evidence of Disrepair to exterior of the building or premises at the time of my visit. I love the fact that they are clear about the limits on how many beds they can offer to dementia care residents; as this is practical and shows that they have calculated the level of care they need and know what is humanely possible to achieve, with however many staff are trained and qualified to deliver that care package for dementia. Looking on their website, their other care homes are also in good form out the area so I know it would be a trusted place to send my relative. This is on my list to return to and visit again nearer our time of need.
