For the price we paid, this is a good hotel. The friendliness of the staff really stood out. Its also good to have a good quality bar on site. I didnt use the gym or pool as I only stayed one night, but those facilities look good too. Only slight downside was the room - its spacious and the bed is comfortable, but the room has a dated feel and smelt quite musty. I would book to stay again though and recommend it to others.

Terrible room conditions - mouldy, unhygienic, substantial leaking from the shower to bathroom floor. See pictures for the bath in particular, which I required to bathe my young children. I respectfully approached manager to advise that the conditions were unacceptable, particularly for the price. He agreed it wasn't good enough, apologised, and offered a 50% discount by way of remediation. A few days after we departed I was emailed a very deceiving receipt that was difficult to interpret but 'appeared' as though the discount has been applied. I phoned and politely asked for help to understand the receipt. This took multiple calls but when I did eventually get through the person advised that the receipt was a mistake, that the refund had not been applied yet but that it was "on its way" and a new receipt would be issued to reflect the promised discount. More than three weeks later the refund has not gone into my account making this hotelier a liar (in my eyes) and someone who simply doesn't care about the conditions in which guests (including young children) are staying (by objective evidence). I take the complicated receipt (see pictures) as an attempt to deceive me about the discount having been paid when in fact it has not. I can provide bank statements to hotel finance department as evidence thereof. Please don't stay here or, if you must, be aware that the price is outrageous for the 1 star condition of the room
