From the minute mum arrived at St Joseph's she was made to feel very welcome and was happy in the knowledge that I would be able to visit her each day. The staff were fantastic with her and I think that she realised just how lonely she had been in her own home for a very long time. The thrived on the care and attention that she was given. We used to ring my Aunty and mum would say "I'm being treated like a Queen" and a genuinely feel that that's how she felt. Mum loved the surroundings. We were so lucky in the summer when we were able to open the window onto the lovely grounds and she could watch the squirrels and birds in the gardens she loved that so much. I personally cannot thank St Josephs also for the support they gave to me during this difficult time. I felt very much alone with everything, all the decisions about mum's house, keeping other family members informed etc was all very difficult but I was able to talk to the staff and to share my thoughts and stresses with people that understood.

My dearest mother requested that she went to St Josephs Hospice as she knew the end of her life was near. Under difficult circumstances being in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic the staff couldnt have been kinder and caring to Mother and to myself her daughter and grandson. They catered to her every need as mother would have experienced a very painful and traumatic end had it not been for their care. Near mothers end we were allowed (with appropriate PPE) to be with Mother. She passed away on 6/06/20 . Myself and my son and my sister (who resides in the USA) cannot thank the staff enough for their devotion They were just wonderful. Thank you from us all.
