The pool is always properly warm and the reception staff are helpful and friendly.

On several occasions, during my 2 month membership, I have asked a question of one particular female member of staff and she has looked at me as if I were an alien and answered in a rather sarcastic, aggressive tone. Rude and absolutely no conversational/people skills. Another time (today), I stopped to produce my member's pass and the same member of staff and a colleague looked perturbed and irritated by the interruption of their conversation. I think some of their staff forget the reason they are there, tbh. A couple of other, clearly more senior, experienced members of staff have been fine, however, on a few occasions, I have arrived only to be told that the facility is closing at an earlier time than that which is advertised. Some of the gym equipment does not work and the range of equipment isn't great. Absolutely not worth the fee but I suspect that those who use the pool, steam room and sauna will continue membership simply because there is no reason competition in the City Centre.
