Had Internal Wall Insulation, Room in Roof Insulation, Air Source Heat Pump and Solar fitted all for Free. The lads were great, very tidy and the finish of the work is great. I'd heard some bad stories about ECO Grants work so I did some research and saw that they had won Industry awards, glad I found them, can't recommend these guys enough.

To all readers of this feed back do not use this company for your installation please read what happened to me . We contact the company about installing a heat pump under the government scheme and out come a surveyor nice man explained about the scheme and we would get the grant which we were awarded, he took photographs measured the whole bungalow and went on roof. Once he had finished he told us we needed Loft insulation up grade, window vents, new radiators, new roof insulation on the existing roof, new heat pump, air vents in rooms where there was water supply to eliminate condensation and a blower fitted outside, solar panels fitted on the garage roof so they could pick up the electric mains in the garage 8/9 panels facing south. All sound good. Plumbers came ripped out old boiler on Monday starting fitting new air flow pump l had to cut out fitted units to accommodate new "boilers"not one as stated but two which took up a space 2ftx6inch x 3ftx6 ceiling to floor not what was told to us at the time, outside on the patio the screw a blower to the floor standing off the wall by 15inches unit measures 60x50inches complete eye sore we we showed a photograph of a wall mounted unit. Could not complete installation because the had not enough pipes and waited 2 days for delivery when impact energy paid first the supplier.Pipes arrived on Wednesday so installation was completed on Thursday the electrician came and installed new wiring separate from our ring main system completely independent.Thursday night plumbers had finished new radiators except the one in the cloak room, did not new two in the dinning room as we had a log burner switched on the central heating system at 17.30rs all working they left at 18.00hrs water poured through our ceiling blew out our lights and plugs admittedly the plumbers agreed to come back but their was nothing they could do at night so we had been left 4 days without hot water now we had no electrics over night next morning l went in loft and cleaned up the damage put new fitting on ceiling light isolated ring main socket affected got power back on.ceiling cracked and water damage informed the office. Friday night power went out again rang the office told them initially said they could not do anything until Monday not acceptable l wanted a electrician put tonight we have two young grand children living with us my wife is disabled and we are both in our 70s so Gary came up from Cardiff where he had been working after two hours crawling around on the loft in the dark found a cable had been burnt through by the plumbers Plumbers left Friday morning incidentally we had to stop them taking a load of copper pipe which was our property which our daughter wanted to weight in. When the scaffolders came for the solar panels they had ben told the wrong roof to scaffold when l informed them of this they said they would need to ring office which they did on my landline and as l said it would have been the wrong roof, the garage roof was the identified roof so they could pick up the main electrics so scaffolding up ready Solar panel fitters came with 8 panels to fit and could only fit 6 so my daughter complained to the office and was told your dad refused to let them put the scaffolding up on the main roof which was a out and out lie the scaffolders told me l was right designated area was the garage. This accusation came up several times after this in conversations l had with them and finally l rang the number recorded on my landline and was told it was the garage roof it was impact made a error. I ask for the other panels to be fitted on the other roof l was told no you refused the scaffolders so we are not going to fit any more l said we were told 8/9 which would help save us money the respond was this system is design to save the environment not save you money we costed the job and there is no money left we get paid on cutting the carbon admissions by the ton from the power suppliers. I made several telephone calls talking to different people each time l found the staff rude evasive threatening

Had solar PV panels, air source heat pump and interior insulation installed on a grant scheme with impact energy. They were quick to get the install started, sent out their fitters to measure up. Once they started I caught the older gent plasterer smoking inside my house on multiple occasions, while my pregnant girlfriend was in the house. He lied to me about it, made LOADS of mess dust from insulation board, plaster board and wood piled up everywhere with no attempt to clean up, best they could do was sweep it up into the middle of the room. I had to take all the offcuts of material to the tip myself in my own car, as they dont deal with the waste they create Did not even have a brush or hoover to clean up. Plasterer left bucket of water upstairs which leaked and soaked through into the ceiling below which damaged it had to be repaired after they left. I was sick of the total lack of respect with this plasterer so when I found he had been smoking in the house again I did not allow him into the property again. Total embarrassment to the company. If he is in your home beware he can not be trusted. The replacement plasterers were amazing quick professional and clean. Air source heat pump was installed quickly and they took all their meds with them, however the pipes were routed with zero thought at all, total mess and I had the plumber back to rectify the mess. No condensation drain fitted so when we had our snow and ice recently it presented a huge slipping hazard. I had an issue with the heating not working properly once the install was completed this left us without heating for almost 3 weeks before they sent out a boiler tech to resolve it, great chap who explained things properly, the original installers didnt explain anything to me Solar PV was installed quickly and efficiently friendly installers and electricians. They fitted a ceiling vent in my kitchen after insulating the ceiling, the vent makes the kitchen freezing so will be removing it and filling it in. If you are happy with industrial piping and electrical trunking routed wherever is easiest for the installer. Then this company is for you. On the whole install has made a big difference to our old drafty cold Terrace house, house comfortably sits at 18-19 degrees all day with the air source ticking over nicely. Cant really comment on the solar or as its winter currently, only had the install finished a few months. The boiler tech/plumbers and electricians were great from Impact and Id be happy to recommend them to a friend or family. However due to the repeated total disrespect from the plasterers. Totally unprepared and unprofessional idiots. Having them in the house and the stress and upset they caused left a bad taste in our mouths so would not recommend impact energy. 2 stars is being kind. A neighbour was using a company based in Newcastle, much better install and they prepped the house with plastic roll, cleaned up and took everything away with them. They even took some of my Off cuts for me Wished Id picked that company over Impact energy. Found staff Rude over the phone pestering me for photos that their surveyor had forgotten to take, or for my landlord to sign off on the job so they can get paid before it was even completed
