Sadly this evening we experienced dreadful meals, this is my first ever complaint about food of the 20+ years of visiting here. Uncooked gammon, egg way to gooey. Burger/bun nothing on it, to dry, cold, and issues with 2 other dishes. We did not want to complain and tried to eat some of the food. Having to make quick dash to toilet as food I eat didn't want to stay down. I was with family and children and complaining about food is something i dont do. We had left 3/4 of are food on each plate. 5 out of 4 meals where either, uncooked or cold. Shame on Management what seems run by kids, their skills of handling this issue was appalling. What has happened to the good old Chapel brook, use to have amazing staff/food.

Absolutely disgusting food. Made my mum violently sick! Food was cold and undercooked, burger came with zero dressing & extremely dry, cold chips, kids meal freezing, very undercooked egg, garlic mushrooms we're vile the liquid that spewed out of it ran down my arm to form a puddle on the table, uncooked pasta in the mac n cheese bites gammon terrible and the manager Absolutely did not want to know any of this stating we should of told them before we ate? How on earth you'd know it was horrible before trying it is Absolutely beyond me!! Despite my mum clearly being sick from her meal we got no remorse from the manager who's attitude was worse than the food itself or any other members of staff. Been coming here since I was a child & can clearly say I'll never come back or bring my kids here again. What was once a lovely family friendly resturant is now ruined by poor chef & management. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Great place has a family side with play area & and a more chilled out area both with plenty of space to enjoy your visit. The staff are always ready to help and are always cheerful. Took my boys for breakfast, great self service selection & food quality very good. Good choice of cereal & pastries with fruit juice & tea/coffee all included in the price. Also a child eats free with each paying adult.
