        I notice one of the other reviews says '1 or 2 staff are very hard work'. I fully agree with this, but would actually say it's higher than 1 or 2. On the whole, the staff in this place seem very unhappy, unsmiling, unhelpful, and a couple of them are prone to angry outbursts. Particularly one senior woman who mans the tills and is always looking for an argument, and the manager himself who gets very angry in front of other customers if someone dares to complain. There are a couple of pleasant members of staff in Rainhill Co-op but overall, quite an unenjoyable place to shop. If you look at Which? magazine's annual supermarket survey 2023, the Co-op has been rated very poorly, and it's position in the survey reflects that. In fact, it's exactly the same position as the previous 2 years. And it's not hard to see why.
