Hi Completed an Audio Production degree mainly during Covid. We had an initial 3 months of doing a normal course, but then it went to a mixture of online and on campus learning after that. Its a fair comment to make that universities specialising in on-campus learning struggled with the online teaching/learning concept as it is not something they have ever specialised in and SAE Liverpool was no different in this respect. I learned the most off the people teaching me who had had real world experience within the industry. Their more abbreviated advice was utter gold, from the likes of Jon Withnall, Duncan, Martin Kuchta, Mike Cave & Matthew Chapman. The front of house girls of Kelsey & Dayana were also very helpful on the course, as was Alex Hannah - who is an absolute legend by the way who can work minor miracles on a daily basis. A special human being indeed ! Thank you mate. The course taught me all the rules of many aspects of music, but in the end I realised you have to break away from these rules if you want to create your own unique sound. It is defo another fair comment to make that this course absolutely is not made to cater for Jungle or DnB in my opinion, as I did not learn a single thing from the uni about these genres until I spoke with my facilitator for my dissertation in Matthew Chapman. That is not to say I did not learn transferrable skills to be used within jungle, but I have to say I did not learn one single thing about it on this music course. Course highlights where; Live Sound with Martin Kuchta Mixing with Jon Withnall Mastering a track with Mike Cave in Loft Studios Lunch time lecture theatre sessions with Alex Hannah Course lowlights where; Sitting through boring slideshow class presentations with teachers Course going online Having to fight for everything you want out of the course One bit of advice I can give if anyone wants to do this course is this: Make sure you ask questions. Lots of questions. As you where, Tommy

Amazing institue for Professionals The lectures, teachers and staffs are very professional, friendly and keen to help you. The Directors are very humble and organized. Unlike John mores university here in SAE I can feel I am accepted as a student not just for filling the chair SAE is Highly recommended and you regret if you are not studying here.
