Hartley Travel Coach and Minibus hire Liverpool

11/11/2022 @ 1530 Near Lander Road, Litherland. Waited patiently behind a Hartley's Bus who just stopped and put his hazards on to drop of a child. The driver (Irish man) got out and several times ordered me to mount the kerb and negotiate a tree to get past him. I refused as I was content to wait. However, due to his arrogant and hostile behaviour, I informed him he should have pulled into the available space rather than block traffic and expect cars to illegally drive on pavements. I was greeted with foul language and told to read up on the highway code. As what point is it legal to drive fully on a pavement around a tree to drive past a vehicle that has just decided to stop in the middle of the road. Not only in the middle of a road but bang on a T junction. There was a parking space outside the child's house. It was only for the female bus assistant who de-escalated the situation. Whilst on the subject of the highway code, it will be in your interest to re-iterate the LEGAL requirement for all vehicles to stop at all crossing when pedestrians wish to cross; the law did come in to effect January 2022 and your company appears to ignore this fact. Better still, get Mr Irish bus driver to brief everyone as he appears to know the highway code - not. Do you think it's professional for a bus driver with vulnerable children to be swearing and being aggressive? Thankfully you had one professional on the bus (the female bus assistant).

Would like to thank Hartleys for the service on Friday 10th December for my daughters wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and everything went to plan, even though our plans changed. Would definitely recommend and use again. Cheers Guys

Brilliant service from start to finish and the driver we had was great too, we were late coming back from our walk and he waited for us and nothing was too much hassle. Would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone.
