Unfortunately not the best Chinese buffet. We visited at 19:30 on a BH Sunday (after a Liverpool FC home win) & there was hardly any main meal choices (unless you like salad)! They were asking for final desserts by or before 9pm. Pity as it looked like it had a huge selection. You pay on the door before entering

Very good selection and quality of foods, above average quality buffet chain (with two more branches elsewhere, one of which is in Stoke where we first discovered it). It has the best selection of desserts of any buffet I think and is therefore a personal favourite. I love that there is bread & butter pudding, warm custard and Eton mess. Atmosphere and service were not quite up to the standard we experienced in Stoke, but the interior design and layout look nice and it feels pretty comfortable despite it being a very large place that packs a lot of people. It was not explained that apparently you have to get drinks yourself at the bar, so we waited for a long time, and the staff who cleared plates away didn't seem very attentive, more in a world of their own, but maybe they were overworked as it was a busy bank holiday, so I don't blame them as such - but it appeared better at the Stoke branch. Most importantly, the food is great. I had a salad/starter plate, an Indian plate (very good curries, esp. lamb Rogan Josh), two Chinese plates and a dessert plate. Unusually, there is a roast dinner/carvery section too; my quite fussy partner had a plate of that and was happy with the quality of it too. My dessert plate as pictured was probably the nicest dessert I've ever eaten (even if it looks a bit messy) - so many amazing flavours and creamy textures, both warm & cold, all in one plate. Overall a great culinary indulgence and treat!
