Northwest Events & Catering

DO NOT USE!! We used North West events and catering for our wedding this July and it was the worst decision we made. I can only now write this review as before now we have struggled with the hurt it brings up just to speak about it. Chantelle had me in tears the night of and the day of our wedding by being totally unprepared and not arsed about our day. * Chantelle had told me that she would be at our venue (my parents house) the day before to set up, after being uncontactable all day she finally got in touch with me at 5.30pm and when she arrived told my sister that she was busy setting up for another wedding the same day as our (way to make your clients feel special). * We constantly chased Chantelle from menu options, food tasting, wine lists leading up our wedding date (the only time Chantelle was ever forthcoming in contacting us was when she wanted money) * It was agreed that the bar would have three draught beers on the day of our wedding however, at 11pm the night before our wedding Chantelle texted me to say that she was having trouble getting a draught system but promised that one would be setup at our venue by 2pm at the latest (draught system never turned up) * Chef arrived on the day with no idea what he was cooking and for how many. He knew nothing about the day. My dad had to fill him in on what was going on as Chantelle was nowhere to be seen and didnt show up until we had left for the church at 11.30am. The chef was unequipped and even apologised to us when he was leaving for the poor standard set on the day and explained how he only had 1 stove to cook 120+ meals. * One member of the catering team arrived in the morning sat on a chair and fell asleep. *The majority of the canaps were not what we had chosen. * The food eventually started to come out to the tables 2 hours after the time we had agreed and it took another 1hour and a half from the first people being served food to the last people getting their food (probably something to do with the fact the one chef was so unequipped to handle the amount of food he needed to prepare). * The woodfire pizzas were not woodfired at all as they didnt even bring the pizza oven to our venue and looked and tasted awful not what you expect when paying 10 per head for evening food. (NOT THE FOOD THAT IS ADVERTISED ON THERE INSTAGRAM AND FB PAGE IS DEFINITELY A FAR CRY FROM THE POOR QUALITY FOOD SERVED TO US ON OUR WEDDING) * The kids meals were an embarrassment, I had ordered chicken goujons for my son however when it arrived to the table they were in fact cheap tiny processed nuggets (again not what we had been sold) * Chantelle and bar staff were seen by guests using their hands to put ice into drinks (not very hygienic) * CHANTELLE ENTERED MY PARENTS PROPERTY WITHOUT PERMISSION AND TOOK ITEMS FROM THEIR KITCHEN. (Pots and pans to cook the food, cornflour and other things, this might sound petty but when youre paying for a catering service you expect them to have the items they need to make the food). All in all, this company is not what they portray online and I would strongly advise not to use their services.

I read many positive reviews on this company but a very recent experience at a wedding venue they did was extremely poor. I had to give one star as I couldn't post a review otherwise. They do not deserve one star. There were so many things not right. Unfortunately due to proceeding that now have to be taken the exact details I wish to share I cannot at the moment. The company failed to delivery the contractual agreement.
