A lovely cafe! All your regular and fair price fried stuff, ingredients of higher quality, a friendly team, a steady flow of regulars, locals, students, and first time goers turned many-tine returners like me. Sausage egg n fried onion butty to die for, took a fresh club sandwich home for lunch, lovely stuff

They have very cost-effective breakfast and lunch, and the owner of the restaurant is also very warm and friendly, highly recommended! !

The best Ulster Fry on toast in Liverpool. Chris & Sandra (not forgetting Dennis RIP) are salt of the earth people. Nice family, Nice service, Nice prices! Lee

For a worker, student, resident or visitor the Eatwell is a great stop for takeaway breakfast food or sit in on one of the few tables inside. I used to get the bacon or sausage (+ egg) on toast or a barm, then moved to the bacon and cheese on toast (which is great, I think I first read it recommended on Google Maps); now I'm mostly vegetarian I usually get the double fried egg on a barm (large white bread roll), sometimes with a mellow filter coffee. Only remember the egg can be runny so sit down to eat it or ask for the egg well done ;-). Very tasty. Ketchup or brown sauce offered with each food choice. The Eatwell or 'the Original Eatwell' 'Chris & Den's', established 1975. I almost always see Chris front of house and Sandra cooking. Fresh traditional British breakfast and fast food. Popular with students from the City College and always with workers on any nearby job plus some University staff and students. Mostly meat breakfast food plus chips options, also egg, mushrooms. I've been going to the Eatwell on and off since the mid/late-90's, always good quality freshly cooked simple food. I might not go in for two years, or two months and always get a warm welcome from Chris who has a remarkable memory for customers (they always remember him too). If he is not too busy with customers & working with Sandra then there may be good conversation about business, economics, politics, the weather, travel - always in a reasonable, intelligent way, not in polarised party politics or social media stereotypes but the ideal of an interesting coffee shop discussion. There are many good restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways nearby but the Eatwell is a Liverpool Georgian Quarter institution worth a quick stop at on a weekday morning or early lunchtime.
